Artificial intelligence (AI) is already shaping how local health departments communicate, manage workloads, and make decisions. To help navigate this shift responsibly, NACCHO360 will feature a dedicated AI for Public Health Track, designed specifically for local health departments.
This new track focuses on practical, real‑world uses covering AI literacy, public health communications, ethics and governance, procurement, and applied use cases—grounded in lessons from researchers and peer local health departments.
The AI for Public Health Track offers 10 sessions at the beginner, intermediate, and advanced level which emphasize what AI can and cannot do today, helping staff separate hype from reality and make informed decisions. Whether your department is just starting to explore AI or already piloting tools, this track will help staff know what’s possible and use AI wisely.
AI for Public Health Track sessions will be livestreamed and recorded, allowing registrants to attend live from anywhere and watch sessions on demand after the conference.
